I have not used their HMI's because I have always seen their lights as accent lights, not lighting a scene with them, I guess if I wanted my accent lights to be daylight balanced I would go with their new LED line that is very good

Tungsten and HMI light is amazing it is 100 CRI, so it delivers full spectrum light.  But the new LED's are getting so good now that I have incorporated the Nanlux, Arri, Cream Source lines into my workflow

Depending on the diffusion.  So if you are bouncing off of a ultra bounce or bleached muslin to match this quality of light your match would be Magic Cloth or Full Grid, or Tracing Paper.  Anything else would never match.  So I do both, If I have the room to create a book light then I will always bounce, but If I dont have the space then driving thru diffusion works.

Great to hear from you.  I love the Vortex 4' & 8's because they have more punch with the multiple lens technology that is now only in the Sky Panel X.  The Nova is a duplicate of a sky panel.
