Shane...Our end of things in Philadelphia went well thanks to your help. The lighting looked really good. Big Thanks Again!! Its interesting yesterday I was at a Ficher Dolly Masterclass in Burbank with all vets of the industry run b y Greg Smith who is a friend of mine. They had operators of which I was one, Focus pullers and dolly grips. One of the conversatiions (this thing was 8 hours of hands on) was about how new 1st AC do not pull focus in the Bubble, but away from the action and on monitors so its exactly what you and Derek were talking about and what Audie, Trevor and Greg were talking about at this Masterclass. So True!! The Masterclass was old school for the 1st AC manual on camera focus, tape measures and floor marking etc.  I ENCOURAGE ALL DP TO WATCH THIS CREW PLAYBOOK MASTERCLASS  WELL WORTH THE TIME.

Art....Thanks so much for sending me to Pedro and Paul. They were not available but Pedro did send me to Matt Joffe who is going to do the job and actually knows my first AC for this job, so all is well.

Lydia....I did reach out to Art for some help on finding a gaffer and although his two suggestions were not available, Pedro was fantastic and sent me to Matt Joffe who is going to do the two days with us. Crew is now all in place. BIG shout out to Shane who is just so generous as he is putting together the lighting plots for me. Can not thank him enough!!

Shane...Sorry I have another question. When you light larger areas where you have lets say 3 people do you prefer using lets say a 12x and bouncing light into it or directly through the 12x? What do you find to be the difference in light quality?

Shane.....Can you give me some insight into why you are using the Vortex 8 panels as opposed to Skypanels or Apture Nova panels?

Shane Hurlbut let me just clarify so you need to have the entire space to prevent getting smoke in the shots? Maybe that is why I’m still photography I was taught to just haze behind the subject. The haze in Into the Badlands just looks so good.

Shane..There is a terrific use of haze here. Can you just give a few do and don't on the use of haze and your method of applying it?....Bruce
